Seeds for the Birds Cooperative Board Game

A helping game that's as easy as 1-2-3!

How to Play:
Uh, oh! The baby birds are hungry. Start by mixing up all the cards, and then place each one face down around the perimeter of the board. Put the seeds next to the board. On each player's turn, turn a card face up, leaving it face up on the board. When a seed card is turned over, place that number of seeds on the bird feeders in the middle of the board. When a bird card is drawn, pick up all the seeds in that card's row (going down, sideways or diagonally) and place them in the nest. Do the same if you draw a squirrel, putting those seeds on the squirrel's leaf. Gather more seeds for the birds than the squirrel and everyone wins!
Why families love this item:
Kids often feel anxiety playing competitive games. With cooperative games, the stress of losing or not being good enough goes away because players are playing as a team against a common obstacle and not against each other. Seeds for the Birds™ eliminates stress, empowers a young learner, and teaches kids that playing together can be fun! Kids practice counting and cooperation. Help your kids learn at an early age how easy it is to cooperate!

What is a cooperative game?
A cooperative game is a game where all players play together against a common obstacle, not against each other. In a cooperative game no one feels left out and everyone has fun! Peaceable Kingdom’s cooperative board games use familiar game mechanisms – spinning a spinner, matching cards, moving a token, strategizing a win! The difference is that players play together. Playing together helps kids in many ways – they experience shared decision-making, they build self-esteem, they learn to share, to feel compassion, and to work as a team. Playing cooperative games teaches kids to cooperate.
